LabelOwl is a free preview operated by Shengxing Yang. Registration creates a Clerk account; verified accounts receive one welcome allowance and a Pro trial on their first workspace visit. A keyed, non-reversible email fingerprint prevents duplicate welcome claims; usage events record allowance reservations, successful use and releases without answer text. No payment details are collected.

Accounts and research data

Clerk handles sign-in, account details and sessions. Activated workspaces store responses, codebooks and settings in Cloudflare D1, and complete imported files in private R2 storage. These stores are configured for EU jurisdiction; this does not mean all authentication and network processing remains in the EU. Use synthetic data during this preview while deletion and recovery controls are being validated.

AI and support

An AI run, when enabled, sends the selected answer text, question, relevant context and codebook to Jev (TypeSafe). Registration or file import does not itself start AI processing. Email support receives only what you choose to send; please omit raw research files, passwords and API keys. We do not sell your data.

Access and deletion requests

Contact the operator to request access, correction or deletion of your account or stored data. Signing out does not delete data. Earlier interest registrations remain stored for their original early-access contact purpose; no new waitlist entries are collected. You can ask us to remove an earlier registration. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
